This beautiful SM65 is now listed on Reverb. The mix of pink and orange pearl changes a bit based on the lighting conditions, and I think cherry slushy is the best color reference.
The SM65 is an original body shape, but this one is inspired by vintage German electrics. I’ve taken some styling cues from the Framus Television. Three single coil pickups start straight near the bridge, with increasing angle near the neck. It also has a cobweb shaped switch plate on the upper bout. The decorative f-hole plate echoes the real ones on the vintage semi-hollows.
This build features a Stetsbar tremolo, three Gemini Hershey Bar Pickups, and machined aluminum knobs and jack plate from Forney Custom.
The body is made from light weight phillipine mahagony. The entire guitar comes in at 6.8 lbs
The neck is a three piece figured walnut neck. It features open gear hipshot locking tuners with pearloid buttons.
The fretboard is canary with a single 12th fret inlay.
The switch plate allows you to turn the pickups on indivdually. The way its currently wired, the pickups combine in series. This gives you some more powerful tones when more than one pickup is engaged. Could be wired in parralel as well.
Check out the listing here. It’s currently listed at $1199, but if you reach out to me on instagram (@justinmotanderjones), or through my website, its yours for $999.
Thanks,
